Microvast Inc. was founded in 2006, headquartered at Houston, TX, and has 1000+ employees worldwide. We are technology oriented advanced power system innovator. Microvast owns nearly 300 patents and patent applications, and continue strengthens our patent position. Microvast ’s advanced batteries are extremely well suited for automotive applications because of their extra fast charging (fully charged within 10 mins), high safety and their extended cycle life (> 20,000 cycles, over 10 years). We have delivered 12 million cells, deployed 2000+ units EV, operating in Mainland China, Europe and Hongkong, and grid-BESS systems in the United States.
At Microvast, I am leading R&D efforts developing advanced batteries targeting EV, HEV and ESS applications. I also work with multiple businesses and core R&D to maximize the innovation pipeline for Microvast R&D function.
Before I joined Microvast, I worked at Dow Chemical developing novel electrode materials and electrolyte for high performance LIBs.
The main research projects I worked on at Penn State, Waseda, Kyoto, Fudan and National Tsing Hua Universities are:
• Designing Ion-containing Polymers for Facile Ion Transport in the Application of LIBs and Actuators
• Organic Radical Battery: Nitroxide Polymers as a Cathode-active Material
• Rheo-Dielectric Behavior of Ionomers and Bulky Ionic Liquids
• Effect of Thermally Driven Fluctuations on Segmental Dynamics of Polymer Melts
• Investigating Cholestsric Properties and Influence Factors of Ethylcellulose Liquid Crystals
• Fabrication and Simulation of Holographic Polymer-dispersed Liquid Crystal Films
Specialties:
• Electrochemical, dielectric, rheology, morphology and thermal analysis
• NMR, UV-VIS, KFT, PVT, QCM, DMA, DSC
